This connector provides hardware status information on the fiber channel HBA cards on IBM AIX systems.

This connector is superseded by:

Connector Activation Criteria

The IBM AIX - HBA connector will be automatically activated, and its status will be reported as OK if all the below criteria are met:

  • Operating System is IBM AIX
  • The command below succeeds on the monitored host
    • Command: /bin/ls /usr/sbin/fcstat
    • Output contains: ^/usr/sbin/fcstat$ (regex)
  • The command below succeeds on the monitored host
    • Command: /usr/sbin/lsdev -Cc adapter
    • Output contains: ^fcs[0-9] (regex)
